
Land Surveyor - Crew Party Chief

Rocky Mountain Meridian is seeking to grow our team of surveyors
along the Front Range.
​
Rocky Mountain Meridian Inc. is seeking to expand our team by adding an experienced career-driven Surveyor who will perform field surveying as part of a one-or two-man crew on jobsites throughout the Denver metro/Front Range area.

Duties for this position will be primarily outdoors, and exposure to wind, extreme temperatures, allergens, etc. can be expected. Standing, walking and lifting are required activities on a typical day.

Responsibilities

Conduct varied land surveying activities using GPS technology to gather accurate data for projects.

Utilize Trimble equipment for precise measurements and data collection.

Create and interpret schematics to support construction and engineering efforts.

Apply trigonometry and geometry principles to solve surveying challenges.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of surveys and reports.

Maintain accurate and organized field notes, records and deliverables of survey data/findings.
Successful applicants will understand how to work within a project’s scope and can self-perform field observations necessary for surveys including:

ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys

Land Survey Plats, Improvement Survey Plats, Improvement Location Certificates
-
Design Topographic Surveys
-
Construction Staking
Requirements:
-
Regular, reliable attendance
-
Three years of land survey experience
-
Proficiency with electronic data collection systems and processes (Trimble Instruments, GPS, Robotic, Digital Levels); must be able to download, organize and process data files.

Ability to communicate and interact professionally with clients, supervisors, employees and other project stakeholders
-
Valid Driver License and excellent Motor Vehicle Record

Daily travel to work locations across the Front Range region

Perform work safely and effectively
-
Pre-employment drug screening
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse uneven terrain
-
Ability to lift 50lbs and carry survey equipment and supplies
-
Proficient with desktop and mobile technology including Microsoft 365 Office/Copilot

Five+ years of land survey experience (three years is required)

Registered as a Land Surveyor in Training

Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D

Ability to travel out-of-region if requested (this position does not have a travel requirement)
